What is Trigger Point Pilates?

Trigger Point Pilates combines Pilates-based exercises with myofascial release techniques, traditionally administered through hands-on therapy. It's a mat-based class that incorporates specialised equipment (foam rollers, resistance bands and prickle balls)and targeted exercises. Participants learn how to identify and alleviate trigger points in the body, which in turn aids in restoring muscle tightness, realigning the body, and promoting proper muscular firing patterns for optimal movement functionality.

Throughout the class, emphasis is placed on utilising bodyweight movements, breath work, and equipment to facilitate soft tissue release. This approach effectively addresses chronic pain conditions, persistent muscular tightness, and facilitates functional movement, imparting a sense of freedom and ease within the body. By the class's conclusion, participants often report feeling lighter, elongated, more mobile, and improved sleep.

Perhaps you're now wondering why you should consider joining a Trigger Point Pilates class?

In today's predominantly sedentary lifestyle, characterised by extended periods of screen time and limited movement, our bodies often experience restrictions and subsequent injuries. Trigger Point Pilates offers a solution by teaching participants how to improve functional movement and address muscular restrictions, thereby alleviating up to 80% of daily pain associated with myofascial issues.

By attending Trigger Point Pilates sessions, you'll discover effective ways to manage facial pain and nagging discomfort caused by lifestyle factors, which may otherwise leave you feeling fatigued and older than your years. If this resonates with you or if you're simply curious to try something new, we encourage you to reserve your spot below and embark on a journey toward greater well-being.
